Florida was offically the 27th state in the year of 1845. It earned the nickname the "sunshine state". The Florida state bird is the Northern Mockingbird. The state flower is the Orange blossom. The state fruit is oranges. This state has the Atlantic Ocean on one side and the Gulf of Mexico on the other side.
